2010 and 2011 Brief Review

Getting ready to depart therefore just a few random notes: "Always leave a place better than you found it" "The archives" was left well in 2010. It was found so well in 2011 that leaving it better than I found it this year will be a challenge. Last year a few of the accomplishments: cleaned, used baking soda and aired much of the contents emptied one trunk, garage sale items to Margate's Lucy Flea Market, sorted books in general categories, aired books outside, framed a few more photos to add to the family shelf, and did searches regarding books on the internet. Tossed damaged books Had Louise come and stay and did some family history. Chris Wimberg scanned one box of the Beck collection. Had a few family meetings with Doris from Philly and Lauberts, Egg Harbor, old mill. Took favorite "FOUND photo" of George and Mom for enlargement and had it framed. And as always, got pleasantly distracted with social life, reunions and book reading, and realize after going on eBay that some old books and National Geographics are going up in value.  In the summer of 2011 did much of the same.  Some of the old bathing suits had no elasticity so tossed most.  Read more of those great old books.
